Our philosophy…

Murray Fishpool is founded on a core belief and shared understanding of what defines exceptional luxury design.

Exceptional design must be considered; it's timeless, it doesn’t bow to passing fads while remaining perpetually stylish. It emerges from years of experience fused with passion and a dedicated aim to tailor a design to the unique requirements of the client, employing thoughtful materials and artisanship.

To accomplish this vision, we invest time in connecting with our clients, hearing their perspectives, understanding their aspirations, and valuing their desires for both aesthetics and functionality. We are not driven by ego; we recognise that crafting the finest requires close collaboration with other design professionals (architects, contractors, project managers…) to navigate clients through complex and sometimes overwhelming projects, all while ensuring the design journey remains enjoyable and rewarding.

We create interiors which are assured and understated but undeniably luxurious. Where comfort and practicality are achieved with impeccable taste; the definition of liveable luxury.

About us…

Tim and Paul first collaborated over 20 years ago while honing their skills at Candy & Candy. Their inaugural project was at Chesham Place, London, with the architects Foster & Partners. Tim was focusing on the interior architecture and collaborating with the architects and Paul focused on finishes, the FF&E and working with the owners.

While at Candy & Candy, they led and worked together on various projects, including private residence, multiple unit developments, yachts, aircraft. Their final project at the firm was the One Hyde Park development in London, the most exclusive apartment complex in the world at that time.

Following One Hyde Park, Tim and Paul transitioned to new design studios considered amongst the premier interior design firms based in London. Tim took on the role of Creative Director at Katharine Pooley, later becoming the Director of Interior Design at LINLEY, while Paul spearheaded projects at Taylor Howes Design. During the ensuing years they worked on residential and commercial projects spanning the globe, honing their skills whilst growing their network of respected industry professionals and artisans.

Their paths converged once more at the Allect Design Group, composed of the design studios Helen Green Design, Lawson Rob and Rigby & Rigby. Tim served as Creative Director and Paul as the Head of Studio at Rigby & Rigby. It was during this period that they recognized their synergistic work dynamic and the initial thoughts about forming a company together began to germinate.
